kate@srwnh.com
Kate has spent her entire professional career in various areas of environmental study and has developed a broad knowledge of environmental issues.
She started her professional career in 1999 banding grassland sparrows in the Arizona desert and she’s held numerous positions across the country as a field biologist studying birds, including the Southwestern Willow Flycatcher, the American Redstart and the Cactus Ferruginous Pygmy Owl in northern Mexico and Arizona. After working for several years as an environmental consultant in Arizona where she performed a variety of due diligence environmental assessments, she earned her Master’s degree in Natural Resources (Environmental Policy) at the University of Vermont in 2012. Shortly after graduation, she was hired as the Environmental Officer for the State of Vermont Agency for Commerce and Community Development (ACCD) providing guidance, review, and approval of all HUD Environmental Reviews for the entire state (except Burlington). While at ACCD, Kate gained valuable training, insight and understanding of HUD regulations and policies which she used to help responsible entities achieve compliance with HUD regulations.
Kate’s experience eventually led her to her current position with SRW where her knowledge and experience are great assets for managing a variety of environmental review projects.
Kate lives in Shelburne, VT with her husband, children and dog.
