Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
An Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) is a non-intrusive assessment of a property based on a visual inspection; site history; review of State and Federal lists, databases, and files; interviews; etc. Identification of potential environmental risks can help interested parties from unknowingly acquire properties with costly environmental issues.
Parties with financial interests in property transfers, including owners, lenders and investors, rely on SRW's expertise at identifying recognized environmental conditions and our opinions concerning the risk of impact such conditions may have on the environment. SRW performs our ESAs following the All Appropriate Inquiry guidelines detailed in American Standards of Testing and Materials (ASTM) standard 1527.13, Standard Practice for Environmental Site Assessments. SRW also routinely tailors client specific investigations to meet requirements beyond ASTM standards, such as specific Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requirements.
